What is the Nuremberg Digital Festival?
The festival consists of over 220 events over 10 days every year in Nuremberg, Erlangen, Fürth, Ansbach and the entire metropolitan region.
It is an open participatory format and acts as a networking platform for stakeholders on the key topics of digitalization in business, science, education and culture. Over 150 regional organizations participate as organizers to exchange knowledge, drive innovation and discuss the opportunities and risks of the digital society.
ALTEN Germany impresses at nuedigital 2024 with two innovative presentations
ALTEN Germany once again made its mark at this year’s Nuremberg Digital Festival 2024. Two top-class events took place in our Nuremberg office, attracting numerous participants and inspiring them with in-depth insights into forward-looking topics in software development.
“Digital world without borders – experience accessibility”
Led by Utz Winter and Steffen Schild, our first presentation provided a comprehensive overview of the requirements of the German Accessibility Reinforcement Act (BFSG), which will apply to all products and services from June 28, 2025. Participants were able to learn in a practical way how software can be designed to be accessible and why this is not only a legal obligation, but also a social responsibility. With interactive elements and valuable discussions, the evening was a complete success.
“Human-centered design – often forgotten, always missed”
Our second event focused on the principle of human-centered design (HCD), which places the end user at the heart of software development. Evelin Eiswirth, Erik Elisath and Jakob Bablitschky guided the participants through the theoretical basics and practical examples before a workshop section focused on applying HCD themselves. The interactive exchange and direct feedback made the event particularly valuable for all participants.
