What does a Logistics Manager do?

A logistics manager is in charge of the requirement planning and takes care of all material procurement. He prioritizes the product urgency through daily delivery analysis to maintain the manufacturing and customer services. Material flow systems are further developed or new implemented in order to increase the production productivity. He covers the entire process, from shipment to storage of the materials, all the way between suppliers and point of arrival. He also builds short-term and long-term action plans for defect-part management and material-flow planning and monitors the performance of supply chains on a daily basis through reporting.
